$75.00

Sophisticated and nuanced; this wine has garnered multi-award-winning accolades, boasting an impressive 96 points from leading wine critics.

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon shows great Margaret River typicity of cassis flavours supported by extended ageing french oak barriques and puncheons. Ready to enjoy now, with 11 years of aging under its belt in our temperature controlled cellars.

Hand harvested from the best Cabernet Sauvignon block at the Wilagri vineyard the fruit is gently destemmed and sorted before being hand plunged for several weeks, followed by a further extended maceration time to polish the tannin structure before oak ageing.  Following barrel selection and blending the wine is bottled without filtration to preserve freshness and fruit.

James Halliday - The Halliday Wine Companion. 95 Points"Some sorting in the vineyard, wild-fermented, hand-plunged, 17 days plus a further 7 post-ferment maceration, matured in French barriques (40% new). Juicy cassis and mint (not eucalyptus). Very well handled.” Date Tasted 4/1/2019. Drink by 2030".

Gary Walsh wrote in The Wine Front. 94+ points. “Saw this in the shelf, and was curious, not having tasted but been aware of MB’s fine review of the 2014. Well, we all like to get our oates, don’t we.  Perfume of bay leaf, exotic spices, assorted fresh black berries, mint, discreet pencil and vanilla oak. It’s medium-bodied, fine and even-keeled, just flowing along so beautifully from front to back, gentle cocoa tannin, settled acidity, mouth-perfume in with a mix of red and black berries, crisp, well-defined and long on the finish. Charm and precision. Beautifully made. A very big ‘yes’ from me.” Drink 2020 - 2030+”
